After deactivating eMember plugin, then deleting the plugin and reinstalling the newer version via ftp (filezilla) then activating again I am seeing this error:

“The plugin generated 211 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.”

After researching the error a bit on google I see it has something to do with white spaces in the php file. However I am not fluent in php so I don’t know where to begin to look or try an resolve this issue. As this was a clean install I have to assume the white spaces were done on your end. Can anyone help me with this or has anyone else experienced this while upgrading to the newest version of eMember?

Don’t upload it via FTP. If you don’t have binary transfer mode on, then during the transfer files can get corrupted.

Upload it via the WordPress plugin uploader interface. Watch the installation video tutorial here (after you delete the plugin it is the same process):

I have filezilla set to auto so binary files are uploaded correctly, however I will delete and try to upload through wordpress but I have my permissions set to the user and not nobody for obvious reasons. So I may have to change them temporarily (pain). Thanks for the reply.
