eMember – eMember Profile Extended – search field

I have added the eMember Profile Extended plugin and it seems to function just fine.

If I want a search field on the frontpage searching in the members (like the one at the top of the memberlist) – how can I do that?

You can’t embed a search field there. What you can do is put a link there (using anchor text like “Search Users”) that takes the visitor to the page where they can do the search.
