eMember – email verification after signup without enter the email again

Hey guys,

I’m currently setting up my membership site using WP Estore, and WP Emember

I’ve read the entire guide here:

Free Members Must Confirm Their Email Address

But I’m not sure if I’m missing something…

I love method #2 however, the flow seems to be too time consuming for the user. It’s like registering two times. Is there a way to send the email verification after a user signs up for a free membership without having to input the email again?

Here’s the flow that I would like to achieve:

1. User signs up at the registration page

2.1 Email will be sent to his/her inbox to verify

2.2 At the same time she will be redirected to a page that says something like “To verify your membership, please click the link that we sent to your email”

3. User clicks the link, and forwarded to a welcome page

Have you actually tried a test page using Method 2?

Yes, I’ve set up the flow and here are the pages:

[http://highmetricdomains.com/] (users register here)

[http://highmetricdomains.com/verification/] (email redirected here after signup)

Asking their email again to verify is not a usual scenario that would impact the conversion rate. Free membership is really necessary for my business model and I would be glad if there is a way to let the users verify thru email when they signup on the main registration form.

Hi Arvin, I understand what you are saying but if you count the steps closely, the total number of steps are roughly the same. The 1st and 3rd steps are swapped basically. We don’t have an option for exactly what you asked for at the moment.
