Tagged: autoresponder
Hi,
I’m just about to sign up with an autoresponder service, but have one small question about how eMember handles the sign-up process.
Does eMember send the email to GetResponse as soon as the new prospect requests to join, or does it wait till after they click the confirmation link?
Example: brand new site, of 85 requests for a free membership, only 32 have clicked the confirmation link – just 37%.
In a few months’ time, that could make a very big difference in total number of names GetResponse would be charging for.
So is the new prospect added to the autoresponder database before or after the prospect clicks their confirmation link?
Cheers from sunny Japan,
Charles

When the registration page details are submitted via the registration form.
Hi wzp,
Thanks for the quick response.
I’m still not quite sure, from your answer, when the submission of the registration page details takes place, but I guess ultimately it doesn’t matter anyway, since I’ll still need the autoresponder service in any case.
Thanks anyway.
Cheers,
Charles

It’s the page where the user selects their user name and gives their email address.
Okay, that clears it up completely. Thanks so much, and my apologies for being dense. I’m still learning to drive this thing.
Cheers
Charles
