I have been using e-member on a site with WordPress 3.6.1
Yesterday I met with my client who asked that he be changed from a WordPress Editor to a WordPress Administrator which I did, using his gmail address.
He also had been an eMember member using the same gmail address, and asked to have his password changed. In the process of changing his password I wound up deleting his old eMember user account and trying to add him back again. However, when I try to add him back with a new eMember account I am able to do so only to the point where I can get to the link on the registration page (with his email address already filled in). But when I try to add his new username and password, I get a message in REd that says: “Email:The email address you are using is already taken! Please choose a different email address. .”
Can you direct me on how to re add my client as an eMember user/member under these circumstances.
Thanks.
Looks like you already have a WP user account for that user. So go to the followng interface and import that WP User account into eMember and you will be done:
WP eMember -> Members -> Import WP User
Thank you that worked fine. What happens if the WP user changes his WP password? Is that automatically recognized by eMember or does the previous password still apply?
Thanks,
Ilene
Those will be kept in sync given you have enabled these options:
