    Hi there,

I’m setting up some free Printables and Downloads in some members only pages of my website.

I have uploaded the documents in the Download Folder Protection and Enabled the eMember Folder Protection in the Admin Functions.

For people to be able to see the different options, I have created a gallery on the Downloads Page and have displayed them in a gallery using WP Gallery Custom Links. When Adding the Image to the Gallery, I am then using the link provided in the eMember Folder Protection and inserting it into the Gallery Link URL in the hope that when people click on that image of the gallery, they will then be forwarded to a new page where they will then download the printable document.

It does open up a new page, and asks for the username and password. I enter the correct username and password, but it continues to ask for it over and over again and never actually opens up the document.

Did you click the “Update” button?

The Download Folder Protection feature is dependent upon the .htaccess file. Clicking “Updaate” will sync the member database to the .htaccess file.

Yes, I definitely clicked the “Update” button.

When I went in to check if my domain host allowed .htaccess, there was no file so I created a new file for that in my dashboard on “Plesk”. Do i need to put any coding in that file to make it sync?

I will need to take a look inside your site to troubleshoot this. I have sent you an email for it.
