I have a membership with eMember installed and it has been working for months now

But recently I created another one and the Download folder inside upload/emember/download did not created in which it’s unsafe from server-based point.

    How to fix this problem.

    Thank

You can use an FTP client, such as Filezilla, to manually create the folder. Make sure the permission attributes for the created folder are 0755.

    I am wondering:

Can we just upload the files inside /emember

and they are protected automatically by the plugin?

[instead of creating another folder such as /emember/download]

I don’t understand the question. What does “the files” refer to; the actual plugin files, or the files you want to let members download? Have you already read this?

Yes the files refer to the protected one that my members want to download.

You can directly upload your files, using FTP, if you want to.

Whether or not a file is protected, is a function of how you permit access to it.
