Hi, I am working my way through the plugin (which has incredible depth). Now I’ve got my head around it, I have been able to hide menu items and hide the WP Admin bar for subscribers. I unfortunately wasn’t clever enough to hide menu items with the user only logged into eMember.
So to get around this I’ve activated the Word press account creation feature you provide. This is great but my users now receive two registration emails. One from you and one from WordPress. How can I disable the WP email as its not necessary and certainly doesn’t help the end user experience.
Many thanks
Craig
PS the website is [www.zonebodyfit.com]
July 30, 2015 at 11:41 pm #70967adminKeymasterA plugin like the following should do the job:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-new-user-notifications/
July 31, 2015 at 6:25 pm #70968bcmediaMemberUnfortunately that is for Admin who do not want a new user notification. What I require is to stop new users getting a confirmation email from WordPress – its different.
August 1, 2015 at 1:32 am #70969adminKeymasterWhen user’s register via eMember, WordPress won’t send any notification email. There will be only ONE email that will be sent from eMember.
You have another plugin or modification that is likely contributing to this. Do a test with the following:
Deactivate all plugins except eMember then test a registration to see how it works.
August 18, 2015 at 9:38 am #70970EvnjaxMemberHi there
I am approving members manually, but when I click ‘Apply & notify’ in the users section of eMembers, my member is receiving a generic email that says:
Hi, Your account has been activated. You can now log into the site.
The subject line of the email is ‘Your user account has been activated.’ and the sender is ‘WordPress’ and my email address.
How do I customise this email?
August 18, 2015 at 9:15 pm #70971wzpModeratorModify the following strings in the wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/lang/eng.php file:
EMEMBER_BULK_ACTIVATION_EMAIL_SUBJECT
EMEMBER_BULK_ACTIVATION_EMAIL_BODY
August 22, 2015 at 12:30 pm #70972EvnjaxMemberThank you wzp. I do have another question which I’m having trouble finding on the forum.
Is there any way to trigger an email to my email address when someone registers, with all of the custom form fields I’ve added included? The end user is receiving an email, but I do not – I can only check in the members area to see new sign ups. Additionally, I’ve added custom fields to the sign up form to get further information, which I need access to – this doesn’t seem to log any info in the members area. Please note that I’m not using the standard eMember registration process as I’m getting the user to create a login straight up rather than complete a form, get a confirmation email then create their account.
August 23, 2015 at 12:22 am #70973adminKeymasterYou can enable the “Send Notification to Admin” option from the email settings menu and that will notify you when a member registers on your site. It can’t send all the custom fields there. When you get a notification, you can log into the site and view the details by editing the member’s record.
Is your user filling up the fields from their edit profile page? The user has to fill in the info in the custom field before you can see it. If the member never fills in the values then the values can’t magically show up there. You can make certain fields “a required field” so the user is forced to fill in the info before they can register.

Just to follow up this, is there any way to add html(breaks or paragraphs) or username and passwords to this email?
