How do I change the default “Send a Notification to the User” on the member details page? I tried modifying eMember_installer.php line 355 but no luck.
The “Send a Notification to the User” field label is only visible to the admin. Why would you need to change that?
Admin – I’m speaking of “Account Status Updated!” and “Hi, Your account status has been updated.\\n\\nPlease log into your member profile to view the details.\\n\\nThank You”.
I found the content in “eMember_installer.php” line 355, but making a change in the file didn’t produce the results desired.
johw1965 – thanks but I didn’t kind the content in “eng.php”.
Okay, that is the *default email body* that is set by default at the time of install. When you use that field to send a notification email, it will automatically save the email body that you sent and use that going forward. So go ahead and use that field (customize the value email with the text that you want) and then it will get saved.
Is there any way to have the body of this field reset to a blank field for the next time an Administrator wants to notify a member of changes? This would be a great function so that the email sent to the member prior doesn’t accidentally get sent to a new member.
Most users actually wanted that field to be saved so they don’t have to type the full email every time. I agree with them too because most of the time you end up sending similar email (only changing a few words maybe).
