eMember – Custom categories not visible in manage content protection tab

The wordpress theme I am using [http://nicethemes.com/theme/flatbase/] has a knowledge base post section which has its own categories that are not linked to the main site categories. These categories are not showing up in the eMember plugin. How do I have these custom categories show up in the the eMember plugin so I can control access to this custom part of the site?

At the moment we don’t have an option to do custom category protection. We will look into it.

Thank you for your reply. A custom category tab similar to the custom post tab in manage content protection would be really useful. Just so I can plan workarounds, when you say look into it, do you mean this is something that you might add on in the near future?
