The problem came up that we thought expired members were still having access to the section of the site that we use for posts that should be members only. However, I went to the page not logged in and it pops up as being an unprotected page (did not ask me to login to see content). The content protection is turned on for the page and for all the specific posts as well, but it appears to not be working. Please advise.
Thanks!
Hi, please check the following link which will help you troubleshoot this issue:
Thank you. I’ll review this and hopefully find my culprit!

WordPress v. 4.1

My free membership level ID is 2 and it is named Owner.
• On the Membership Level tab, I granted access to everything: Pages, Posts, Categories, and Comments.
• I have set general protection for all Posts, Categories, Comments and certain Pages
• Then I granted access to Owner level to all Posts, Categories, Comments, and Pages.
When I log in as an Owner, I am sent to the landing Post, but every post has this message:
Your membership level does not allow you to view the rest of the content.
I can view all the protected Pages in this Owner level but none of the Posts in either category.
I carefully read https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/wp-emember-content-protection-not-working-common-mistakes
I went to the Manage Levels tab to edit (even though everything looks fine) but when I hit the Submit box, I get:
Membership Level Update Failed..
Even when I try to change a setting and Submit, I get:
Membership Level Update Failed..
thanks,
Janet
I will take a look inside and check the configuration. I have sent you an email for it.
