eMember – Content Protection for files not working

My site is set for sitewide protection since May 2012. Each page and post is individually protected within eMember also.

When I see a title of a post/page on the net, and I click it goes to the join/login page as desired. I just checked, and this is still the case. However, even though all posts and pages are protected, I found pdfs within these posts and pages are visible to non-members.

Permalinks are set for post-name.

I also found this for my site on the net:

Index of /members/wp-content/uploads

When this is clicked, everything is visible.

I’m using v8.7.5 and WP 3.6.1

How do I go about protecting the content?

Hi,

eMember has a feature that protects the contents of a folder and can be accessed by going to WP eMember -> Admin Functions -> Download Folder Protection section

The special folder eMember uses is “wp-content/uploads/emember/downloads” and as long as you FTP or upload your files here when the feature is enabled, only your members will be able to download the files.

Thanks. Made the necessary changes and the content is within the membership area.

A few of the index of… caches are still out there but nothing happens when you click the link. Thanks for explaining the solution.
