My last problem may be a configuration problem.
I am using the option of creating and deleting wordpress accounts since I need to assign user roles. For example, free accounts are subscribers and premium accounts can publish posts on the sites.
If I use the option: Manually Approve Member Registration: When activating a pending user. The user gets totally deleted from the system. I mean totally,
Being that the user is me. I go in to re-register. Tells me username is available and I start over again.
Once I uncheck the box, registration seems to be working fine, However, i have no way of screening free members.

That doesn’t sound right. Are you sure you didn’t accidentally click the “Delete” button which is next to the “save” button when you edit a member profile?
Sure of it.
I am now working on the second of 11 sites and I get the same error.
Also, when creating a membership level with no expiry I get:

Membership Level “Affiliates” couldn’t be created due to error.
