I’m getting ready to incorporate eMember into my site’s current setup (eStore and PDF Stamper), and I noticed a peculiarity about the “complete your registration” email. I’m using the WP Mandrill plugin to send transactional emails through Mandrill’s SMTP service. This works perfectly with eStore, in which I have opted to send HTML emails. On the eMember side, with the Mandrill plugin activated, the “complete your registration” email is completely plain text (no line breaks, etc.), including the link, which is supposed to be clickable. Everything works as expected when I deactivate the Mandrill plugin, but it has been a huge help in getting purchase emails into customers’ inboxes. Could you guys add an HTML option to eMember’s email settings? Mandrill has a settings option to generate plain-text messages from HTML, so that covers those whose email clients don’t support HTML. Thanks!

Do you actually have HTML tags, formatting, etc., specified in the “Email Body” settings for the eMember registration email?

No, I haven’t added any HTML tags to the message. The difference when sent through Mandrill is that all the lines are collapsed into one, and the confirmation link is no longer clickable.

Unless you add your own HTML formatting to the email body, eMember sends the message as plain text. When Mandrill sees the plain text, it sends it as unformatted HTML. That’s why the message appears to be on one line. Try adding some HTML line break tags to the message body.

Right, but the confirmation link is hidden within a dynamic tag, so I’d have to dig into the plugin code to turn it into an active link.
