eMember – compatibility? with WooCommerce Groups and Groups free plugin

Has anyone successfully combined eMember user role/membership levels with WooCommerce Groups for learner purchase of online course with lessons and quizzes (group limits customer access instead of membership level/user role)?

We have to use Virtual Merchant cc gateway, so WooCommerce and WooC groups are how we sell/protect online courses with Sensei, the WooThemes Learning Management System.

We want to use eMember to drip some lesson content (not possible with Sensei) and add time limited member-level access to supplemental quizzing plugin (outside of Sensei, called WATU Pro).

I searched the forum and did not find thread(s) either way (success or conflict) re: trying to combine eMember with WooCommerce Groups.

eMember offers much better features than WooCommerce Subscriptions (the Woo recommendation).

Because we have to use Woocommerce, ideally eMember has a plugin for a customer to purchase a product through WooCommerce that will automatically enroll that customer in a membership level with eMember.

But if not, the eMember “integration” for us is not as seamless because Groups plugin (and WooCommerce Groups) are governed by group membership, not WordPress user roles.

Free Groups plugin [http://wordpress.org/plugins/groups/] plus paid WooCommerce groups plugin is our current method to “sell” online courses.

The WordPress user roles article you linked above is helpful but not the total answer for us.

If no addon to link eMember to WooCommerce, we can still use the “download now” eMember button and other “free” techniques from this forum, so I’m really happy with the Tips & Tricks HQ plugins we purchased (eMember, ecommerce, PDF Stamper, Lightbox).

Just hoping to be able to use more eMember features despite our WooCommerce limitation.

I updated my eMember plugin to v8.8.3. I uploaded the eMember WooCommerce plugin. It is simple to associate an eMember ID with a WooCommerce product.

And purchase of my product via WooCommerce automatically enrolls the customer in the eMembership level I designated.

This is perfect!!!!
