Our membership director is unable to export the csv for eMembers in IE8. We keep getting an error saying:

“Internet Explorer cannot download admin.php from ‘mysite.com’.

Internet Explorer was not able the open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.”

Is there a way to force this to download in IE8 or is this a problem with your software?

    Hi,

What happens when you do the equivalent action in Firefox or Chrome – does it work as expected or do you also get errors?

Works fine in Firefox and Chrome. Which is what I normally use, but our membership director is an IE8 user and I need to give him the ability to export in that browser.

It looks like an issue that is happening from gzip compression. What version of eMember are you using? Are you using gzip compression on your server?

I would recommend you to test it in IE9 or 10. Maybe request your director to use IE9 or IE10 (IE has gotten much better in those versions).

We are using version 8.4.7 and he has already informed me he doesn’t want to upgrade. (roll eyes). I am not sure about the gzip compression. I will check that. Thanks.
