Hello Tips and Tricks,
I recently purchased 1 one of your product bundles.
1. Is it possible to manually set the eMember ID and affiliate ID?
2. Is it possible for the member id sequence to *automatically* progress in multiples of a specific number, let’s say 2 or 5 (member id 5, 10, 15, 20 or 2, 4, 6, 8, 10) instead of the normal numerical sequence (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7…)?
3. Does the member ID and affiliate ID start, by default, at 01 or 1 (member id=1)?
What I plan to do is have the first few non-members register first, then I will manually set their member IDs. Once I have set the member ID of the first batch of members (or the very first member), I would like the eMember/WP Affiliate plugins to do this for me automatically (ideally, with the “manual setting” option still available).
Thank you

Are the member ID and affiliate ID (both numerical IDs) visible to all members? If yes, is there an option to hide it from them or to use member-set non-numerical member IDs and affiliate IDs?
Thank you

Your visitors never see those ID column numeric values (that is used by the system). So all you have to do is tell your users to pick a numeric value for the Affiliate ID or member username.

February 13, 2017 at 11:57 pm #65684adminKeymasterThe membership ID that you want to put goes in the Username field. The username is a value to uniquely identify that user. You can use as many digits or characters you want to for the username. Each member record has a username value. Your members use this value to log into their account.
The value used in the member ID column of the plugin that you see in the admin side is a numeric value the plugin auto-assigns to each member record. That is for internal use by the plugin to do various database operation (that column is not for you to use). Your members never see this value from the front-end of the site.
