I’m using eMember with OptimizePress – and have a problem where video content is not being protected.
As you see the video is unprotected, whilst the rest of the content below is (You can see that because there is the ‘Please login to view this content…’ message)
I have set the eMember Protection Options at the end of the page in WordPress.
I contacted OptimizePress and this is what they say:
“Your whole page must be protected by the membership script not just your content, you need to ensure that this plugin is capable of doing this and not just protecting your content.
OptimizePress Support Team”
So I downloaded the map-categories-to-pages plugin and installed it and applied categories to all the pages I wanted to protect, and then used the eMember option to protect the category. Just in case OptimizePress’s requirement to protect the whole page would be covered by protecting the category. The result is just the same. The video content is not protected.
Any ideas on how I can make this work?
That video is not part of the WordPress’s post or page body (it is being added outside of the post content area).
Try the 3rd option explained at the following documentation which will protect the full page:
Super helpful post, thank you, as I am now using Optimize Press 2.0 w/ the terrific Tips and Tricks HQ plug-ins.
