I set up an Aweber email parser and created a list. I have used this list name in eMember as well as eStore.
I signed up as an affiliate to test the settings.
Q1. Settings in WP Affiliate plugin: In Email Settings I have set an email to go to the affiliates when they sign in. Then I set the Autoresponder Settings. After I signed up as an affiliate myself I got an email from Aweber and not from the “Email Settings” email I have setup in affiliate plugin. When I unchecked the Aweber Global Aweber signup then I got the email from the “Email settings” of the plugin.
I do want to be able to capture the emails addresses of all the affiliates so I can send them emails.
My question is that how do I make the settings so that Aweber catches their email addresses as well as they get the email from the Affiliate plugin giving them their login information?
Q 2. I would like to have some ready made eMails for the Affiliates to send to their list complete with their affiliate link which they can access from the Affiliates dashboard. How can I do it?
Q3. What can the “Creatives” be used for? Would you have any examples to share?
Q4. How can I stop an affiliate buying from their own affiliate link?
Q5. Is there a way to Sort Ads so all the ads for the same product can be seen together
Thank your for your help.
July 2, 2012 at 8:12 am #46789adminKeymaster1) We have implemented a new method of AWeber integration that is easier to follow. Please get a new build of the affiliate plugin from here:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/update-request
Then follow this documentation to complete the integration:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/wp-affiliate-platform-and-aweber-integration-453
2 and 3) Use the creatives options. Creatives can be any form of material that you want to make available to your affiliates (it is just freeform HTML or normal text). It can be ready made email content, article content, video information etc.
4) https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/block-the-remuneration-of-an-affiliate
5) The affiliate ads are sorted by the name. So use a prefix which represents your product in the name of the ad and that should group them together.

I upgraded the new plugins. I setup the Autoresponder settings as per your instructions for the Affiliate plugin.
Then I joined in as an Affiliate. This time, as an affiliate I did get an email with my login information
Questions:
1. As an admin notifying me that a new affiliate joined – is it normal that the admin gets the same email that the affiliate gets?
2. I logged into Aweber account and there was no email capture for the new affiliate. How can I capture affiliate emails in Aweber?
3. Since I have Aweber – is it necessary to Enable contact form 7 Lead Capture and if yes, then does it have a function whereby I can do mass emailing?
4. Can an Affiliate use any link shortner service like Bitly to shorten their affiliate links?
5. When I copied & pasted on the affiliate login link sent in the email I was able to log into the proper affiliate Dashboard. I have an Affiliates tab on my website [https://emoveon.com/affiliates/]. How come when I login from this tab, then I am not directed to the proper affiliate dashboard, instead of the ugly dashboard that just shows up on the same page?
6. I updated all the plugins. Then I setup the Autoresponder settings for each plugin. Am I correct in assuming that I correctly clicked to get Aweber Authorization Code for each plugin individually?
Thanks,
LA
July 3, 2012 at 3:24 am #46791adminKeymaster1) yes, it is normal for the admin to get the same email. The purpose of this email is to just let you know that someone has joined (if you don’t want to be notified you can turn this feature off from the settings.
2) The email capture will only show up in your AWeber after you confirm. AWeber sent you a confirmation email as soon as you signed up as an affiliate. You need to click on confirm link so AWeber knows that someone didn’t accidentally signed you up using your email address. Its how AWeber works
3) You do not need to enable contact form 7 unless you are using a lead capture model and want to use that plugin.
4) Yes, they can use any link shortener service to shorten the links (your pro affiliates already knows this and will do this).
5) After you log in, it is suppose to redirect you to the affiliate dashboard. It is possible that there is another plugin stopping the redirect. If you share a username and password of a test affiliate, I will check it out and see what behavior you are encountering.
6) Yes
July 4, 2012 at 12:01 am #46792interlinkusa1MemberHello Mr. Key Master,
Thank you so much for your help. I followed your instructions and was able to setup everything properly except the issue in Q.5.
Here is the info. of a test affiliate.
User: test1
Password: test12
Login URL:
When creating this test affiliate I noticed that even though I put in an incorrect email address in the paypal email section the plugin did not catch it. Is this normal?
July 4, 2012 at 11:07 am #46793adminKeymasterI just logged in using those details and I go to the affiliate dashboard where I can see the ads and click date fine. The plugin will make sure that is it an email address but it can’t verify that the email address is your correct PayPal email address (there is no a way a script can know what your real paypal email address is).
