Email to buyer is slow from my site (why?)

Hi … The emails that are sent to the buyer (and to me, the seller) are really slow. They take up to 30 minutes to arrive. I’m curious if this is a function of my server, my wordpress, or this plugin?

I’d love for the emails to be received almost instantaneously. For example, I signed up to create a new page on Facebook and I got the email to confirm my email address within about 5 seconds of requesting it on the Facebook page. This kind of service (speed) is great.

P.S. I’m using a thank you page with the download link to the product, so the customer is able to get access to the product after payment, but I’d still like the emails to be received sooner than 30 minutes later. Just curious where the bottleneck might be … and if there’s anything I can do to speed it up.

The emails are sent as soon as the Payment confirmation is received from PayPal (there is no dalay). You will need to look on your server side to investigate delay.
