Hi
I have set up emember and did a test register but in my inbox it says the email is from “unknown” . anyone know why?
i have filled in the mail fields correctly
now its saying from wordrpess
That means you haven’t specified a name correctly in the “From Email Address” field. Have you read the help text below that field and entered the email address in the following format?
Your Name <youremail@example.com>
Same problem – except that I DO have the correct syntax:
Church-Talk TV <hosts@churchtalk.tv>

Just to confirm… this is for eMember plugin correct? You have that “From Address” in all the from address field under the “Email Settings” menu of the plugin?
Are you using another plugin like the following that is overriding all from email address of the WordPress system globally?

I am having the same issue, I have no other plugin running except WP ememeber and emember form builder. When someone registers on the site they receive a registration completed email. But it is from (Unknown sender) rather than Planet & Pocket <pquirke@emailaddress.co.uk>
What value did you enter in the “From Email Address” field? What version of eMember are you using?

Using eMember Version v8.9.4 and
It’s at the top of the page:
WP eMember --> Settings --> Email Settings --> From Email Address
That value is shared in a few of the common types of emember email.
