I have done a few test and all the 1 cent test with paypal behave the same.
The customer gets a confirmation from paypal but i don’t.
The customer returns to my site and can watch the video fine.
Although on my debug log there is no entry for any purchase.
I did the IPN test with the paypal.php
log results:-
“[04/27/2010 6:18 AM] – SUCCESS :Paypal Class Initiated by 121.44.38.100

I can send emails from the estore admin panel.
And the subscription works (though it is using the newsletter plugin)
I’ve got a SMTP plugin instead of the wordpress email settings.
thanks in advance

It is running in live mode.
I have set Paypal to your recommended default settings.
The good thing is that the customer can watch the VOD.
Though without a confirmation email they don;t have a link to goto of course.
please let me know if you need more info.
April 27, 2010 at 10:42 pm #20151IvyMemberThe IPN is failing. This is why the emails are not getting sent out as the eStore can not verify the sale. There can be a few things causing this.
1. Make sure the IPN is turned on in your Paypal settings. It will ask you for a URL you can make this anything you want as the eStore will override this and tell Paypal where to send the IPN.
2. Please see the following article (steps 4 and 5 only); https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/what-to-do-if-the-debug-file-is-empty
Let me know how it goes if these steps do not fix your issue please let us know.
Cheers,
Ivy
April 28, 2010 at 2:52 am #20152jerel maniMemberweird. i did steps 4 and 5 (no settings needed changing though) with sandbox and voila, paypal confirmation emails started to come through to me. and 1 of the purchases showed on my log from yesterday. And i recieved the “notification of product sale” It wasn’t there this morning though. And of course the sandbox test showed on the log too.
so maybe it’s working now? well thats good. But i wonder what fixed it? seems things need to cook a bit but i wouldn’t think so…
thanks ivy
