On the backend, when you try to edit a member, the email address validation is blocking uncommon top level domains like .careers. We have a member with email address ending with .careers and the form is giving error message that email is not valid. However, if we go to edit the corresponding user of the member, we can update the email address there to .careers. There probably isn’t too many such email addresses for now but may be more in the future.
Please give me an example email address so I can test it.
Which screen are you referring to when you say the following?
If we go to edit the corresponding user of the member
Thanks. I can’t use the actual member’s email address here so you can try this test@test.careers
Edit member – email validation failed
…/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp_eMember_manage&members_action=add_edit&editrecord=20
Edit user – email got thru
…/wp-admin/user-edit.php?user_id=21&wp_http_referer=%2Fstaging%2Fwp-admin%2Fusers.php
Are the URLs helpful?
Thank you. I have improved the validator so it can accept the email example you have given. I have sent you an updated copy of the plugin via email.
