I’m now using the PayPal gateway, but plan to move to Converge (formerly VirtualMerchant from Elavon) for the eCommerce.
I searched the forum, but didn’t find any information about the interface. Does it mean that there is no eStore interface for that solution ?
Thanks,
Gaston
June 28, 2017 at 8:44 pm #75939wzpModeratorIf you only purchase eStore, the base plugin only supports PayPal, Authorize.net, 2Checkout, Google Wallet, BitCoin via BitPay, Braintree, eWay Rapid 3.0, and Offline payment method (payment via cheque, cash or bank transfer).
If you also purchase our premium Gateway Bundle addon, in addition to eStore, you also receive support for the following additional payment methods:
Google Checkout, PayPal Payments Pro, PayPal Payments Pro Subscription,PayPal Payments Advanced, Authorize.net AIM (Advanced Integration Method), Authorize.net ARB (Automated Recurring Billing), SagePay, eWAY, ePay.dk, Verotel Flexpay Setup (Adult Payment Gateway), ClickBank, ClickBank Subscription, Freshbooks, CCBill (Adult Payment Gateway), CCBill Subscription, Stripe and Stripe Subscription.

Is there a particular reason why you are armoured with Converge?
June 28, 2017 at 9:25 pm #75940huotg01SpectatorThanks for your answer.
I’m looking at Converge because Elavon has some very good prices and conditions through a Canadian Costco proposal:
– % quite low
– No contract
– and many others advantages
I thought that Elavon had an important presence in the eMarket. I saw that the other guy (Wooc…) was interfacing well with it and wrongly thought that it would be same with eStore, the software I use.
That’s why.

I’m quite new to all that, but it seems that Converge from Elavon is a major player. May I ask you why it is not part of your gateway portfolio (just curious) ?

June 29, 2017 at 8:25 pm #75942wzpModeratorWith all due respect; you appear to be the first and only person who has ever asked for this particular gateway; in the 10+ years our eCommerce plugins have been around.
All of the advertised “features” are currently available in various forms, through either the base eStore plugin, or the optional Payments Gateway addon. And what Elavon fails to mention is there is an additional ongoing maintenance (approximately $65/year) cost for processing payments on-site; in the form of maintaining an acceptable (not self-signed) SSL certificate for your domain.
Finally, there are certain kinds of transactions that Elavon will simply not accept, due to the nature of what is being sold; such as online adult entertainment, intangible services, and other “high risk” transactions.
Providing support for Elavon may be periodically reviewed; subject to demand. Until then, if you really want it badly enough; you can request a custom coding quote:

As previously said, because of its link with Costco, Elavon was simply the best buy for our organisation, financially speaking.
Because it was one of the “largest merchant account providers”, based on https://www.cardpaymentoptions.com/credit-card-processors/elavon-merchant-services-rating-review-complaints/
“Elavon (elavon.com) is one of the largest merchant account providers in the United States. The company was formed from a merger of NOVA Information Systems and euroConex and is part of U.S. Bank’s (U.S. Bancorp’s) payment services division. Elavon is based out of Atlanta, Georgia, and has been active in the credit card processing industry since 1991. Simon Haslam is the CEO of Elavon. “
…I then decided to ask to my eCommerce/eBasket provider if there was a gateway for this solution (Elavon). The answer is no.
I think it is about it.
Thanks.
