MemberI am having a problem when purchasing a product from the E-store on the site that I work on. Everything is properly set up *I Think* … even when I do a direct download with the link where the file is located it pops up no problem. However when it is purchased I get the Error message …
The wp_eStore download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. Please contact the site administrator.
Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:
The download script couldn’t locate the file associated with the digital product. If the administrator thinks this reason is in error, maybe a different URL conversion option might fix the problem.
How do I go about fixing this problem? Anybody that can help quickly it would be greatly appreciated.

MemberThank you for those articles; I have tried everything in the checklist of the one article and have attempted to test a product through the admin settings with the different download methods, but I keep getting the same error message everytime.

ModeratorPlease enable the debug logs and try a test download. Then look in the download_manager_debug.log file for clues and let us know what it says. In particular, be on the lookout for log entries showing file paths that seem to point to the “wrong location.”

MemberIn the log files this is what it says … just lots and lots of the same thing from the 50 million times I’ve attempted to download the file in a test purchase.

the file definitely exists and as i’ve said earlier, if i just type in the direct link to the file to download it pops up no problem.

ModeratorOkay, please perform these steps, in this order; so that I can better interpret the log entries. That way, I know what actions created what log entries…
1. Under General Settings, Reset Debug Log Files.
2. Under Addon Settings, Download Manager Related, URL Conversion Preference, choose Absolute.
3. Under Admin Functions, enter the product ID number and then click Generate Link.
4. Copy the generated link to the address bar of a new browser window and see if it works.
5. If it does not work, please repeat steps 2 through 4, but this time on step 2; select “Relative” URL Conversion Preference.
6. If it still fails, please try steps 2 to 4, this time with “Do Not Convert” preference.
Then please post the contents of the download_manager_debug.log file.
