I use your e-Member plugin and have members with predetermined expiration dates based on our promotional incentives to them.

It would be VERY helpful if there was a field on the “member detail” page to set a predetermined expiration date.

Could you let us know if it would be possible to add to the ‘member detail” page?

    Thanks, Linda Deir

    You mean this?:

    [wp_eMember_user_details user_info=”member_expiry_date”]

I have your eMember plugin along with the bulk import. The example file provided for bulk import does not list valid values for the fields (rather just specific examples), and all of the examples use the same expiration (noexpire). I’m hoping there are other valid values, can you provide the valid values (and maybe update your example file to include one of each of the valid values?)?

I’ve tried using the date format in the example for ‘subscription starts’ in the ‘Membership Expiry’ column, but after an import the expiration is always 1 yr from the ‘subscription starts’ value (not the expiration I have specified). If I leave the ‘subscription start’ value blank on the import, it defaults to 1/1/1971 (rather than today’s date). If I specify a date in subscription start, the expiration is 1 yr from then regardless of the value in ‘membership expiry’.

We don’t want accounts to expire in 1 yr, we sell multi-year contracts and we need to set the account expiration to match the contract expiration. We have hundreds of users to import and maintain, so manually keeping track isn’t a viable option.

Also, for any users I imported from WP, if I delete a user from eMember it deletes all the content of the WP user without any prompts or warnings or ability to just delete the eMember account and not the WP account.

The membership expiry is actually controlled from the Membership Level. The following post has explanation on what a membership level is:

When you are importing members, you will import them into a membership level. There account expiry will be calculated by the plugin based on whatever expiry settings you chose for the membership level in question.
