I’ve set a rather simple e-member registration, but the system does not alert via email of a new member or send the custom message to the persons email address. Must be missing something obvious. I followed the example in your video to the letter but the emails are not working at all. Any ideas?
Tks
This shouldn’t be hard to track. Are you using just free membership or a mixture of paid and free membership? If you are using paid member then are you using eStore for your membership payment?
Its all free membership. All we’ll need to so is let people register, get a record of their info, and in that email thats sent out back to them we’ll send them a new user discount. So we’re going to be using the plug-in in a fairly modest way on this site. So far the plugin has failed to send en email to me as the sender notifying me of a user registering even though that email address is filled in. It has sent the email out to the new user, after some more testing last night. I have the field filled in for being notified by email after a new user registers and this isn’t happening for some reason. Not in spam filter either so I’m just wondering if I need to check something else off or something?
Tks
Okay.. is the email address value in your “WP eMember Settings -> Email Settings -> From Email Address” field the same as your actual WordPress admin email?
If they are same this would mean that the sender and the receiver is the same and I know that some servers have issues with sending email when the “to” and the “from” email addresses are the same.
