MemberIf an E-member forgets his Password and clicks on the Forgot Password? link, a pop up appears on his screen labeled Password Reset asking for his E-mail address. Once he Enters his E-mail address an E-mail is sent to him with a random password
Example
Dear Scott Nelson
You have reset your password.
Membership details:
Username: scott
Password: Xt$!WhJe0sxH
Thank You
Is there anyway to allow the E-member to change this generic Password to something that he desires and can easily remember?

ModeratorAfter they log back in, using the random password, they can change it from their profile page.

MemberThank you very much.
Is there any way to change the E-mail that is sent to them to tell they can go to the profile page and change the random password to the password that they want?

KeymasterYeah, you can customize the forgot password email to add instructions there. Edit this email from the “Email Settings” menu of the plugin.

MemberI have the same problem but I’m not seeing the capability in their profile for them to edit any information. Must I activate something to allow them to edit their own info?
Thanks!
Two other issues;
1) I’d like to have the member list automatically default to alphabetical sort rather than sign up date.
2) Is there a way to ensure members will not expire?

ModeratorIs there a “Password” field on the profile form? They should be able to just type in a new password.

KeymasterThe plugin automatically creates a profile page when you install it (just like it creates a registration page). You can go to the pages/forms settings menu to see the URL of the profile page. Your logged-in members can go to the profile page and change the password.
The default sorting of members menu can’t be changed. You can click on the heading of a column to sort it using a different column.
When you create a membership level, there is an option to pick the “No expiry or until cancelled” option.
