MemberI am using E-Members and e-Store and had set up buy now links to PayPal and everything appeared to be going fine….the right e-mails went out and the right membership account was created.
But now, when I thought I had it cracked, when I do test PayPal purchases (with new e-mail addresses each time) I don’t get a registration link e-mail, etc. but an e-mail saying that the account has been upgraded – even though no account exists as yet??? The transactions are recorded in E-Store and the e-mail addresses/customer names are correctly logged there but this doesn’t give the visitor access to what they’ve bought.
I would be very grateful for any suggestions as to what i am doing wrong and how I can fix this problem which is a show/shop stopper at the moment.
Many thanks.

MemberHi, Are you testing this in the same browsers that you are logged in as an admin on?
Try testing this with a different browser. The following article will explain this a little more: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/how-to-test-the-wp-emember-plugin-to-make-sure-everything-is-working-40
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Ivy

MemberThank you so much for your quick response.
I think I’ve found my error – I created my own custom Buy Now buttons but somehow an eMember_id got included in the hidden custom field within the code passed to PayPal resulting in that member constantly being referred to rather than it being seen as a new account payment.
It’s one of those – hours and hours later – of duh…how could I have not seen that/been so stupid!
Many thanks.
Would you mind advising also on which files need to be edited to change the content/appearance of e.g. the Registration page and the Profile page so I can incorporate this as seamlessly as possible within the overall site design??

ParticipantYou should be able to customize it from the “eMember_misc_functions.php” file.
