Hi,
might be mistaken but observed the following:
1. PayPal’s email entered during CreditCard buy now option is not being looked up by eMember of existing with same email address, and result in a new eMember account created.
How does eMember perform upgrade of existing eMembers? Via First and Last Name? or via Email address?

Are you using eStore or just plain PayPal button for the membership payment?
I am using the eStore short code “wp_eStore_buy_now … …”
Okay, eStore doesn’t look up the email address for upgrade. If you make a payment while logged into your eMember account it will detect the member and upgrade that account. Are you making payment while not logged into eMember? Anyway, in the last build of eStore I have added the email look up option too.
