I know somewhere that this has been discussed lately and apparently should be fixed by the new version. I’m using v6.1.2 and somehow I am still seeing duplicate registration emails. Also even invalid e-mails are showing without the “@email.com”.
How can we fix this?
I take it that this is an eMember plugin related question? (it was posted in the eStore forum.. I moved it to eMember)
Yep, it is not possible to singup for a member account using an email address that already belongs to one user. Also, it does some checking for the correct formal of an email address. For example, using “testaddress” in the email field will trigger an error as it is not a proper email address formate. Can you go to your registration page and test it yourself? The signups you already have may have been there from the past.
