Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eMember › Duplicate accounts being created when you manually create a new member
This has happened several times. When you manually create a new member in emember, it creates 2 duplicate user accounts in emember. I did not click back or hit the submit button twice or anything like that. I tested this a few times and it happens every time. It looks like it is creating 2 accounts in emember, but only 1 user account in wordpress.
And then when you delete one of the duplicate emember accounts, it also deletes the corresponding wordpress member account. And you have just one emember account for the person, then have to manually create a wordpress user account again for the person so everything works right again.
So to sum it up, manually creating a new member creates 2 emember accounts in the system.
This is unusual. I have sent you an email to get access to the site so I can check this.
Hi, You had both the following options checked which was causing this issue:
– Automatically create WP Users from eMember
– Automaticlaly create eMember users from WP users
Usually, users use one or the other. Anyway, we have added a guard in eMember to prevent this from happening. Please check your site now.
