Hello,
I have run around a dozen tests on two different files that I’m trying to add to the eStore. There are a few issues that may be causing the main problem. When I click on the link in my email, the download begins correctly. Then, halfway through the download, the download suddenly stops and the file won’t play on my media player.
I checked the download manager debug file and this is what came up…
[11/23/2011 5:55 PM] – Status : Unresolved DL file path = http://shinygilly.com/wp-content/digitaldownloads/payvideos/SS30.m4v
[11/23/2011 5:55 PM] – Status : Resolved DL file path = /var/chroot/home/content/08/7567708/html/wp-content/digitaldownloads/payvideos/SS30.m4v
[11/23/2011 5:55 PM] – Status : Dispatching DL method = 1
I have no idea what any of that means. Also, when the download starts, in the download manager, the file is listed a little smaller than it actually is. In my FTP server, the two files show as 269MB and 213MB. When the download manager starts, is says downloading file 257MB and 204MB. I have no idea why the manager would show a smaller file than what actually is.
Please help.

What is the size of the file you are trying to download?
What the log file is saying, is that the server terminated the download script. We know this because there is no download completion status message in the log.
The reason the server terminated the download script, is because the file was taking too long to download, and the server made the erroneous assumption that something was wrong.
In cases like this (large files), we recommend the use of eStore’s Amazon S3 integration feature.
