I’m starting to use eMember’s Download Folder Protection to password-protect some media files. I uploaded some PDF’s with no problem, but when I tried uploading an MP3 of a much larger file size, it threw up an error telling me the file size was too large.
I successfully uploaded the file via my FTP software to the same folder (wordpress/wp-content/uploads/emember/downloads)but my client would prefer to use the WP interface. How can I remove or greatly increase the uploading file size limit for the protected folder so we can upload large files to the Protected folder via the eMember’s Download Folder Protection interface?
The limitation is imposed by WordPress, not the plugin. Just use FTP instead.
My client really would prefer to use the eMember interface instead of FTP. I did some testing and found that I could upload a 14MB MP3 file via the regular WP Media uploader. Uploading that same file via the eMember Protected Folder interface landed me with a “File Too Large” error. I contacted my host and php.ini is set up to 275MB. I don’t think it’s a WP issue.
I was able to successfully upload files via eMember up to 10MB but larger files threw up an error. Is there any setting within emember that you know about that would be limiting the uploads?
We will make a change to remove that 10MB limit from the emember uploader.
Great! Thanks. Please let me know when that fix is ready.
Done. I have sent you a copy of the plugin via email.
Works! Thank you!
