Hi,

I have WP eStore and WP eMember both set up and working great, these are awesome products.

I have a question about a setting with the Download Now button. We sell individual downloads of products, and also offer a membership where people can pay the fee and be able to download any product at any time. I have set up protected member sections of my pages with “Download Now” buttons for all of our products.

The one thing that I am trying to change and can’t find a setting for is how the “Download Now” button functions. All files are S3 hosted, and currently it opens the PDF in the existing tab/window, then the member would have to click back and scroll to the appropriate section of the page if they needed another of the products.

Is there a way to make the download pop up in a new tab/window?

Will WP-eStore work on the new WP Network, or is the something than need to be activated.

@mack417, Its designed to just open the download dialogue box and let the user download the file. Since the file is a PDF file and in your browser settings you specified it to open files that the browser can read, it is not showing the “save as” window and just opening the file. Simply put your downloadable PDFs inside a zip file and then deliver the zip file (browsers can read zip file so it will force it to show the “save as” window and the member will still stay on the same page). @hostinsa, I am not sure what issue you are facing. I am also not sure how your post is relevant to the original content of this forum tread. maybe open a new forum thread with detailed explanation of the issue you are facing?

Yes it will work, however, you must properly configure the download validation script location or you will run into the problem described in this thread…
