    The generated download link doesn’t work. [http://tlwfc.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=21%2FX%2FikAUPKUgq3qhg%3D%3D]

    Thanks)

    When I click on it, I get this error message:

    “The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. Please contact the site administrator.

    Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:

    The download script couldn’t locate the file associated with the digital product. If the administrator thinks this reason is in error, maybe a different URL conversion option might fix the problem.”

    Please Help.

    I am getting this error

    The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request.

    The problem was due to the following reason:

    The download link (see browser address bar) has expired (it’s too old). If you think this reason is in error, please contact the site administrator.

    @bxdavi2,

    When you get that error it means that your encrypted link has expired according to the time period in the configuration settings.

    Try the following test:

    Go to the “Admin Functions” menu in eStore and generate another encrypted link and then paste that link in your browser to see if you can download the file.

    ok that worked but I have my link set for 12 hours and 1 download, how should I have them set up?

    You should allow enough download attempts within that 12 hours, to handle download problems. 3 attempts, within 12 hours is reasonable.

    Ok so why would my link have been expired if I just built the shopping cart and added all the products and now we are testing for the first time.

    I had it set at 12 hours for 1 download.

    The time is counted from the moment you generate that particular encrypted link (it doesn’t matter when you installed the plugin).

    Go to the following area and manually generate an encrypted link for a product:

    WP eStore -> Admin Functions

    Now, test this link you just generated and tell me if you can download using this link. If you can then your site is working fine in terms of download.

    My downloaded images were working fine until I had to re-load all my images and create new products for each image. Now when a customer downloads an image, it will download, but they receive an error “invalid image” when they open the download file. I have used my same url for the digital download url, but it converts to “download.php” when the downloaded filed is opened. How do I fix this so the file points to my original download url when opened.

    * What browser(s) are being used when this occurs?

    * When the file is downloaded, are you trying to save or immediately open the file as it’s being downloaded?

    * If you try to save the downloaded file, does it want to save it as “download.php” or as the name of an image file?

    * Are you using any caching plugin now?

    * Did you try this checklist?

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/downloaded-file-size-is-0-zero-byte

    There might be “media disposition” issues going on with the browsers being used.
