I’m trying to sell a PDF through the WP eStore. Here’s the facts:
I’m using the PDF Stamper
If I create my OWN download code it works perfectly, when I send it to a friend, it works for them too.
When the user gets the download link, they press it and get:
“Download file cannot be found. Please let us know. Thank you!”
When I run a bug test on the download manager, I get:
Error!
I turned the PDF stamper off. And that error disappeared.
But I get
[01/26/2012 3:17 AM] – Status : Resolved DL file path = Error!
[01/26/2012 3:17 AM] – FAILURE : Error on file_exists(‘Error!’)
Help!

January 26, 2012 at 7:16 am #41230adminKeymasterHave you tested the PDF stamper by doing a manual stamping first? There is a video tutorial on the PDF stamper documentation site that shows you how you can test a manual stamping. Make sure you have setup the PDF Stamper correctly to where it can stamp the files properly and then it should work with eStore automatically.
January 26, 2012 at 9:06 am #41231markwestbrookMemberDuring manual stamping, it did this:
Error! SetaPDF_Error Object ( [message] => Cannot copy file /home/bookonac/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Truth-in-Action-5-V2.pdf to /home/bookonac/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/stamped-files/Truth-in-Action-5-V2_4f21174d3abe8.pdf => 14 )
[code] => 14 )

January 27, 2012 at 1:06 am #41235PeterMemberHi,
Try the suggestions in this post and see if that fixes your problem:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/cant-download-file
January 27, 2012 at 1:41 am #41236markwestbrookMemberI’ve installed the latest version of WP eStore (doh) and changed the method then it says: This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help. but if I take the file path it’s saved in, no problem for me to download it. I don’t understand why this is so difficult?
Basically now it can’t find the file on my website??? It looks so easy in the videos!
Plus the new eStore says: WARNING: Cannot locate file download.php in the eStore plugin directory.
January 27, 2012 at 6:09 am #41237adminKeymasterIf it’s missing the “download.php” file then it won’t work (not sure if something went wrong when you uploaded the new copy). Delete the currently installed plugin and then load a fresh build of the plugin again. Now go through this check list:

January 27, 2012 at 6:27 am #41238markwestbrookMemberI’m sorry, I have deleted the current plugin and loaded a fresh build, but WARNING: Cannot locate file download.php in the eStore plugin directory is still in red in the Digital Product Delivery settings. Please advise.
January 27, 2012 at 6:30 am #41239markwestbrookMemberplus when i looked into the estore directory download.php file IS present. Regardless of what it says!
Is there such a thing as a WP eStore expert, who I could just pay to fix this? :o(
January 27, 2012 at 1:30 pm #41240wzpModeratorSounds like your provider has open_basedir restrictions activated.
Who is your hosting provider, and what kind of hosting package are you using?
