I am testing out a purchase for the first time on a downloadable product. When I attempted to buy my pdf file to make sure it works, I got the following message when I clicked on the link that was emailed to me:

The download link (see browser address bar) has expired (it’s too old). If you think this reason is in error, please contact the site administrator.

I have no limits on downloads or the duration in which they must be done. I have double checked my link to make sure it works. Any other ideas?

I am using Version v6.9.9.1 of the estore and wordpress 3.6.1.

Please enable the eStore debug logs. Then perform another test, and review the contents of the download_manager_debug.log file. Also, does this happen only for one product, or all products?

I’m sorry. I’m new to this. I have no idea what you mean when you say to enable the degbug logs or even how to review the content. I have not tested the other products yet.

Did you specify a download limit when you configured the product? If you did, what value did you use? You can edit a product to check the value.

Please go to the settings menu of eStore and make sure you have a valid value (example: 48 hours) in the “Duration of Download Link” field. Then save the settings. Then do another test.

The following will help you with how you can test the encrypted download system on your site:

It is also a good idea to go through the following checklist:

Let me know how you go after that.
