Hello,
We use the emember download folder protection feature under admin functions to protect PDF’s we upload. This worked fine up until recently. Now, when accessing the file through either chrome or safari we receive an error instead of a username / password prompt.
The issue does not present itself in firefox.
here is a link to a file so you can see the issue.

Could you please assist in helping us determine what is causing this?
Thanks!
In chrome, it is asking me for a password also. And same in Internet explorer. So as far as I can see, that protection is still working.
Maybe you saved the password once? If you enter a valid password once, some browsers will remember that and won’t prompt you again when access that file from the same browser.
If you want to test what your members will see, try emptying all the cookie, passwords, temporary files etc from your browser.
You’re right. It looks to be working for me now…. Odd.. thank you for your time!
