MemberI already sell my product on my website where there are paypal buttons to complete the order. My question is do I need to create a separate page for affiliate sales with their own paypal buttons? If not, how does it work? Do I get the relevant affiliate information via my paypal page to know where the sale came from? I don’t really understand this stage of the Affiliate Platform. Thank you. Sally

ModeratorPlease carefully read the Affiliate Platform documentation:

Pay particular attention to the video tutorial, and the integration options.

KeymasterYou don’t need to create new page or buttons.
Please use the 1st option mentioned in the paypal button integration documentation and that should get you going:

MemberThank you for your reply. I had viewed all the videos but it seemed that without buying WPeStore this wasn’t going to work easily. I know that I can’t use different commission rates but have to offer the same affiliate rate to everyone. Is that correct? I thought there was a problem because I sell the product at full price from my website and I didn’t understand how you keep affiliate sales and my own sales separate, how that gets registered at paypal. I will view the paypal video again and see if I can understand it second time. I may just have to trial it myself first to see if I can get it to work.

KeymasterThe affiliate plugin only tracks the affiliate commission that you need to pay out to your affiliates. It doesn’t actually pay anything automatically. It only tallies the commisison that you can review and payout at a later date. It doesn’t interfere with your main e-commerce plugin or solution that does the main product selling (handles the transaction). Your e-commerce plugin/solution handles the sale of the item and the full amount of the sale goes to your merchant account.
