Do I have to offer an alternative Shipping Address?
I do not want to send to another address, ie. product must go to address that is specified in the Paypal account. What is my best way to accomplish that? I do not want to offer alternative address other than what is specified in the paypal account holders account
I did look here:
This is how it works:
A customer clicks on the Pay Now/Checkout button and goes to paypal to pay for the product or service.
The customer fills in the credit card details or logs into his/her paypal account and reviews the order
Now before hitting the “Pay Now” button the customer can use the default shipping address (taken from his/her paypal account) or specify a different shipping address by clicking on “Change Shipping” that is shown below the default shipping address.
After payment, PayPal will send you a payment confirmation email which will have this postal address so you can ship the item.
That is a PayPal feature and what you have in mind won’t work correctly. Remember, not all of your customers will have a PayPal account so they need to be able to specify their shipping address when checking out and paying via credit card. Also, sometimes one PayPal user can buy something for a friend or family member in which case they need to be able to specify the correct shipping address.. You can obviously ask PayPal support to see if there is an option you can set in your PayPal merchant profile for what you are after.
I understand what you are saying. It was just that I thought due to fraud that we are better to deliver only to the address specified in our Paypal account, at least that is what they tell us in the UK. Having said that, maybe nowdays the checking procedures on the credit card companies end, and indeed Paypal, have most likely got better over the years.
Thanks so much for the support you folks provide here.
You are absolutely fantastic
Warmest Regards,
Gordon
