I have setup Estore and E Affiliate plus wishlist member. I signed up an affiliate and can’t see any click throughs on my E Affiliate account. My Landing page is hosted off the blog. Do my Landing and Sales pages need to be on the blog for E Affiliate to work? What can I do to get this right?
January 7, 2011 at 4:57 am #27838wpCommerceModeratorHi, WP Affiliate is a WordPress plugin. Like every other wordpress plugin it only works for your wordpress install. So if your landing page is not a WordPress page or post the plugin can’t work and obviously the number of clicks and the affiliate won’t be tracked by the plugin.
January 28, 2011 at 3:35 am #27839johngaydonMemberOK, I loaded a landing page on a wordpress page and went there using an affiliate link. I filled in the form and it registered at 1shoppingcart and wsent me to the page with the subscribe button, all within the blog.
There is no registration of the click on the affiliate stats. There must be something I am missing here?

January 29, 2011 at 1:05 pm #27841johngaydonMemberOK,
Thanks for getting back to me.
The landing page I set up is at
[http://www.mlmprofitbooster.biz/?page_id=137]
1 ShoppingCart registers the subscription, sends me to a sales page, and initiates the autoresponder message series.
After subscribing it sends you to
[www.mlmprofitbooster.biz/?p=31] where I place a subscription button.
Everything in the flow of things works, except affiliate clicks aren’t appearing on stats.
I have minimal plug ins so that these programs can work.
Thanks

In case you are wondering… I used the following link to test and see if a cookie drops for the affiliate ID “test21”:

I set up an affiliate ID of abc
I can see the test21 click.
Thanks,
John

You have used a “?” mark sign for the “ap_id” variable which would be right in most cases but since you already have a “?” mark sign in the URL before that you need to use “&” for the later ones. This is how the browser works with HTTP GET protocol. I am guessing you are using the default permalink structure of WordPress.
Anyway, if you use the “Add/Edit Ads” menu of the affiliate plugin and configure a link it will generate the correct link for you (it will know if it needs to put “?” mark or “&” based on the URL structure you are using on your site).
So if you use the following as your target URL when you make the link it will work:
Let me know how you go.
