Hi there, I am struggling to display the Affiliate information on my site. I’ve tried to put the short code in the C7 form because that’s where I really need it. When I receive the e-mail as a result of someone completing the C7 form I can’t see immediately who the affiliate was. It would take too much time to go to the affiliate area to first find who the affiliate was before I send the information on to them so they can follow through. Unfortunately our affiliates do need to do some more work for their money. It isn’t just a plain sale.
Anyhow, I tried everything. I’ve searched the forum and tried out what they suggested but I can’t get it right.
I have wordpress 3.5
I have the Affiliate Plugin version 5.4.4
My site is [http://mortgagerecovery.co.za]
Perhaps it’s better to use an affiliate link to see what happens. [http://mortgagerecovery.co.za?ap_id=YFourie]
The Affiliate ID displays but not the Company. I’ve checked in the affiliate back office and the company is entered.
Instead of trying to display the affiliate name all over the place I would really just prefer the ID to come to me with the e-mail that C7 sends me once someone has completed the Quick App form on [http://mortgagerecovery.co.za/assessment/]
I will leave it for now for you to see but I need to release the website to our affiliates Monday this week already which is passed. So yes, I’m late.
Our business is unfortunately administratively loaded and we need to cut down on timeconsumers.
So … where have I made a mistake. Why can’t I get the affiliate ID displaying on the C7 form? You offer full integration with C7 so I must be making a mistake somewhere.
This is what I’ve pasted on the site:
Your Agent: [wp_affiliate_referrer]
From: [wp_affiliate_referrer_details info=”company”]
in HTML it looks like this:
Your Agent: [wp_affiliate_referrer]
From: [wp_affiliate_referrer_details info="company"]On the C7 Form I simply put this: Agent: [wp_affiliate_referrer]
I installed the C7 before I installed the Affiliate plugin. Only because I didn’t have the affiliate program yet. Could that be the problem? Surely not?
After all this I really just want 1 thing. Get the affiliate ID with the C7 Form e-mail.
I hope I have provided enough information.
Regards
Yvette
January 9, 2013 at 10:55 pm #52923PeterMemberHi, Did you have a chance to take a look at the instructions on this page?
In particular, did you perform step 4 of the above link?
Step 4: Go to the settings menu of the Affiliate Platform plugin and check the “Enable Contact Form 7 Lead Capture” field then save the settings.
January 10, 2013 at 1:27 am #52924adminKeymasterHi Yvette, Given you have done what peter suggested above, the affiliate plugin automatically adds the following line to the email body that contact form 7 sends (given this submission came from a user who was referred by an affiliate):
Referrer ID: SOMEAFFILIATEID
The email address of the affiliate doesn’t get added there but it can be added. Are you saying, you don’t see the above line in the contact form email for affiliate referral submission?
