Hi there,
I am not using the cart function of wp estore I am using the shortcode for my product for Paypal, the shortcode is working fine, when I click on the button it takes me to the Paypal checkout page, but I want to apply a discount to the product how can I do that if I am using the shortcode for a Paypal checkout?

May 15, 2013 at 12:23 am #55640wpCommerceModeratorHi, do you mean that you are using the HTML button code from PayPal?
May 15, 2013 at 1:40 pm #55641ivettemMemberOh, I am so sorry, I was not aware that there was a response to my post. I am looking to have a per product discount. For example, I plan on selling three products and would like to offer a discount on only one of the three products.
May 15, 2013 at 2:26 pm #55642wzpModeratorIt sounds like you are saying that you are just using the “Buy Now” shortcodes on each product, which immediately take you to PayPal, and that you want to offer a discount on just “one product.”
Discounts & coupons are computed on the cart total before that total is submitted to PayPal. If you want to discount just “one product” that is tied to a “Buy Now” shortcode, and you are not using the cart; simply change the product price, and add text to the product description saying that the product has been discounted.
May 15, 2013 at 2:31 pm #55643ivettemMemberThat sounds like a solution, however, I only want to offer the discount for certain time only. For example for 24-48 hours, your solution means, that I have to manually monitor this and go back in and change the text and price of the product. How would it work if I use the cart feature, will I be able to use the discount/coupon feature on a per product basis, if I use the cart?
May 15, 2013 at 2:36 pm #55644wzpModeratorIf you use the cart, you can create conditional discount coupons that are product and time limited.

May 15, 2013 at 3:01 pm #55645ivettemMemberThat is great. I tired it and it seems, I do not know how to apply a discount to just one product. I am not seeing how to add the coupon and create a condition to offer the discount to a certain product. I looked at the videos and it only shows how to create the coupon but it does not go into detail how to create conditions.
