Digital Product variations max number

I have four digital variations on a product and need to add a fifth. I’ve appended it to the digital product list but it’s not showing up. Is there a limit to how many I can have? If so, is there a workaround.

Hm, I don’t think that will work because I don’t want the user to have access to download more than one version. Is there really a limit on how many variations on a digital product? Or am I just doing something wrong in the way that I’m coding the variation text.

What exactly are the variations you are trying to setup?

I’m selling a Photoshop add-on and need to be able to specify different variations for the different versions of Photoshop (CS4, CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC). It’s worked fine when I had four digital variations (CS4 through CS6) but when I add the CC variation, only the first four variations appear in the resulting pop-up menu. If I swap the position of the last two entries I still only displays four variations, but only the first four. Thanks!

I can understand wanting to sell the Creative Suite (CS) plugins separately from the Creative Cloud (CC) plugins, but why is it necessary for you to sell the CS versions as separate files? Why not just have a CS and a CC variation?

Because they’re AppleScript-based things and so each package has to be hard-coded with the specific name (CS4, CS5, etc).

Is there in fact a 4-variation limit for digital downloads?

You can have as many variations as you want in that digital variation field. I have a feeling, it is stopping after 4 because there is an error somewhere. Can you copy and paste the content of the Digital variation box for this product so I can check it?
