Hi, I just purchased WP eStore and I found it extremely easy to install and configure. I have my products set up on a page:
And I tested the top product when it was set to 0.01. It went through Paypal, the redirect worked perfectly. The only issue was when the email was sent out the download link I received in the email was not the same as the one I set up in settings:
The link I set up in Settings:
The link I received in the email:
Embracing the Sacred Feminine Download –
[http://www.ashannasolaris.com/wpana/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=2xOa%2FC0GVv2Th67s]
Can you tell me what’s going on there and how to fix it?
Thanks,
Geej Mauriva
August 3, 2013 at 11:25 pm #56935wzpModeratorThat, is the main feature of eStore; the ability to send out encrypted download links! If you’d simply click on it, you’ll see that indeed, it is the original file you specified.
The purpose of the encrypted download link, is to obfuscate the original source, so as to prevent buyers from downloading the file more than they should, or worse, passing the download link around.
There is nothing to fix, you simply click on the link it emailed you and it will take you to that original link that you configured in the product.

yes I would have thought that but when I click on the link in the email I get this message in a browser (and no download page):
The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request.
The problem was due to the following reason:
The product ID contained in the download link (see browser address bar) doesn’t seem to be in the wp_eStore database. You might have a download link for a product that is no longer stocked. If you think this reason is in error, please contact the site administrator.
Thanks,

August 4, 2013 at 2:43 pm #56937wzpModeratorWell, at first I thought it was because you didn’t want to post the complete path, but I noticed the Product URL you specified in your first post was for a directory and not for a file. You need to specify the complete file path for the Product URL.
You know if you got it right, if you can copy and paste whatever you specified for the Product URL into a browser address bar, and it works.

Okay, yes you are correct. I thought I just linked them to the page where they can download the product. I actually need to link to the actual product!
Thanks immensely for your time! I fixed it and everything is working great!
Really awesome plugin!

This week, I relocated my WordPress installation from [www.musicus.co.uk/blog/] to [www.musicus.co.uk/] after which I carefully changed all my product URLs in eStore (and checked them by cutting and pasting them into a browser). However, when I did some trial purchases this morning, the links in the emails are still showing the old locations. For example: [http://www.musicus.co.uk/blog/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=tZxFdUuyrU7%2Fu1M9tV6SQ0JrlUcFOsYOvNNaXENoW4g%3D%3D]
I did wonder if eStore was somehow caching the old locations, so I cleared all the caches, but to no avail. I’m sure this is my fault, but do you have any suggestions?
I am using WordPress 3.6 with the Twenty Thirteen theme and the following plug-ins:
Akismet, Audio player, Broken Link Checker, Extra Shortcodes for WP eStore, Fast Secure Contact Form, Google Analyticator, myRepono Backup Plugin, W3 Total Cache, Widget Context, WP eStore and WP Socializer.
Many thanks for a great product!
Alan

August 7, 2013 at 9:39 am #56942musicusMemberYes – that was the problem! There were several URL settings that needed to be changed in WP eStore’s General Settings.
Perhaps this might help someone else who relocates WordPress.
