    Hello!

I want a file ending in extension mp4 to be delivered as downloadable, but when I click this option on the settings, my client gets thefile.mp4.html

Is there a way to fix this? Thanks

Please describe exactly the conditions under which this occurs.

    Thanks for your reply.

I created a product, added name and price.

Under digital content details, I placed the digital product URL, and selected downloadable.

My digital product URL is set up as: [http://www.mysite.com/filename.mp4]

When a client purchases this product and clicks on the encrypted link, an HTML file is downloaded, not my mp4.

    Thanks again for your help.

could you please post a link to a test page, containing a download now button to the problem file?

Are you using any caching plugin on this site?

What happens if you enter the file URL in your browser’s address bar?

    …your-site.com/filename.mp4

Do a plugin conflict test to see if there is another plugin contributing to this weird behavior:

It doesn’t explain why it is downloading a html file but the following post maybe helpful after your main issue is sorted:
