Hello Everyone –
I have not been able to get cart to post transaction email to buyer or seller for a digital product download.
I do NOT have the WordPress email processor enabled for cart – eStore email script is enabled
Send email to buyer box is checked/enabled in email configuration
I enabled return to a thank you page and it does post transaction encrypted download code there
Use of Strict PayPal Email address checking is disabled
Transaction Result Display is enabled in Post Payment Processing settings
Return to seller website after PayPal is enabled
Multiple Payment Gateways is enabled
IPN Debug log shows transaction and email success for everything.
Requirement for users/buyers to be registered is DISABLED.
I tested in sandbox beforehand and everything tested OK.
I tested for curl on server and it was OK
Initially the product download path was bad and it did email that to buyer – product not found, when corrected the email stopped working.
Anybody have any ideas?

Please use the “Use WordPess mailing system” option and give it a go. The following post has some explanation around the different mail options:
March 26, 2010 at 5:36 pm #17974arukiyomiMemberI seem to be having the same problem. With the PHP script option, recipients’ servers were returning the email as it originated from “nobody”
so I downloaded your change mail plugin, put my details in and switched back to wordpress email.
no joy.
my ipn debug log file is blank.
The weird thing is that I’m getting emails as a seller but not as a buyer. I really want the customers to have their download link email!! As it is I have rely on them clicking the Paypal link for the download.
I’m not getting any emails to buyers even if I disable your plugin and revert to only the wordpress@… email sender option. Any idea what’s going on?
days of work now at a standstill while we try to resolve this issue

April 20, 2010 at 6:33 pm #17979arukiyomiMemberthanks mmoore5553… my paypal email is all lowercase. I’m not sure I understand your last message though. What do you mean by “something in return URL and had to take it out”?
thanks
January 20, 2011 at 11:06 am #17980neiljameslloydMemberHi. I’m also having the problem that the email containing the download link is not being sent to the purchaser and neither is the seller confirmation email being sent (I’m just getting the notification email from Paypal).
I’ve run the debug and the log says that everything was successful…
Also, I have the ‘Use WordPess mailing system’ checked..
How can I solve this issue?
Thanks
Neil
