Digital download – how to know if file has been downloaded?

My access count is 0 for all records. That makes no sense

If you have the download limits set for “unlimited,” the counter will not increment. The counter is only used if you are using that feature. Lot of users only use the time limited encrypted link feature.

I realize this is an old thread, but seriously guys you should have the counter incrementing anyway, even if you set unlimited downloads. Why? For one thing you could see if anybody is abusing the download link. Maybe you just want some metrics. All sorts of reasons. It should prevent downloading if the count exceeds a limit that is set after the fact. Common sense
