Hello,
I have read one of the site’s blog posts regarding this topic and am giving it more thought prior to launching my on-line store.
I have a question regarding the selection box to accept the “Terms & Conditions” prior to check-out that a buyer must agree to ….. does this get logged somewhere ????
I have stated at the top of my Shopping Cart page (prior to the fancy code) that “ALL SALES ARE FINAL” … and there are “NO REFUNDS”. These terms are also part of my “Terms and Conditions” on my site. Are there any other precautionary approaches one can take to minimize the scammers ? ….
What is the experience from current users of this plugin ? …. are these more likely to come from CC buyers versus those only using Paypal ?….
iTunes has a ton of Terms & Conditions also, but that did not stop me from doing a successful chargeback recently.
The point is that you can only hope that your product, price and service is good enough to minimize customer dissatisfaction.
I hear ya…. …
But more so to the aspect of the plug in and the check box regarding agreeing to “Terms and Conditions”…. before a purchase is carried on to Paypal…. is that ‘check off’ logged somewhere ?????
No. Because the “Show Terms & Conditions Checkbox” according to the documentation “If checked the customers will have to agree to the Terms and Conditions before they can checkout.”
In other words, checking the T&C checkbox is a precondition before they can proceedto checkout.
Thanks for the clarification…
I am just looking ahead as to how a seller would ‘counter’ such claims by a buyer when, after investigating the situation on the seller’s end, it is apparent that the buyer received the download.
